Hello there! My name is Haget Yang. I play the drums and also sing for Paradise. My family and friends usually call me "ab zem" in Hmong. Well, that's because I'm the baby or youngest of the family. I feel like I'm a very special person and proud to be the youngest one. My family sometime says I still have a baby attitude even though at age 22. Well, you are not gonna believe what I just told you, do you? Do some of you act like that, too?
How did I get hook up with Paradise?
That's a good question! I started playing drums in 1993. I played my first concert in MN on 7/3/93 when I was 15 years old with Paradise. I learned to drum mostly by myself taking advices from a few professionals. The reason I joined the band was because Phong and Ko, who are my brothers, already established a strong base for the band. I found that playing the drums really lets me express myself and I liked it. I also learned how to sing on my own while still playing drums full time for the Paradise. I like & enjoy being with Paradise. The thing I like the most is their personality and system. Everyone in the band always talks about positive things for the future. On my spare time, I like listening to music and singing. I also like to play volleyball and go to the movies. I have a passion for nice cars.
A very special thanks to all the fans who have been with us since the beginning. We've come a long way with them and I want everyone of them to know that Paradise is here to stay, so we are looking forward for your support in the future. Well, that's all I have to say for now.
